1. Commitment to Copyright Protection

SC Downloader (https://sc-downloader.com/) strongly respects the intellectual property rights of musical artists, composers, producers, authors, and record labels. It is our policy to respond expeditiously to clear, valid notices of alleged copyright infringement in compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (17 U.S.C. § 512, "DMCA") and international copyright treaties.

2. Architecture & Hosting Disclaimer

Please note that SC Downloader does NOT host, store, catalog, upload, or database any audio tracks, sound recordings, MP3 files, or media assets on its servers:

• Our platform operates purely as a technical transcoding proxy client.
• When a user submits a public link, our system parses public HLS segment streams directly from SoundCloud's Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) on-the-fly and pipes the output container directly to the user's browser.
• Because no media files reside on our physical disks or cloud storage buckets, we have no files or stored media to delete or purge.

3. Removing Source Content at the Root (SoundCloud)

Because SC Downloader does not host the source media, blocking a link on our platform does not remove the audio from the internet. The song will remain publicly streamable and accessible across SoundCloud and other third-party utilities.

To eliminate unauthorized content at the source, copyright holders should file a formal takedown notice directly with the hosting platform, SoundCloud Global Limited & Co. KG, via their official copyright portal at https://soundcloud.com/pages/copyright. Once SoundCloud removes or privatizes the track, it instantly becomes impossible to convert or stream via our service.

4. URL Blacklisting on SC Downloader

While we do not host files, we gladly cooperate with copyright owners by providing a URL Blacklisting Mechanism. Upon receiving a valid DMCA notification, we will configure our edge proxy API to block and reject all conversion requests for the specified track URLs or entire artist profiles.

5. Statutory Requirements for Submitting a DMCA Notice

To submit a legally valid DMCA takedown or URL blacklisting notification, the notice must be in writing and sent to our Designated Copyright Agent containing all of the following statutory elements (pursuant to 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):

1. Physical or Electronic Signature: A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
2. Identification of the Copyrighted Work: Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (e.g., song title, artist name, ISRC, or copyright registration number).
3. Specific URLs to Blacklist: Identification of the specific material that is claimed to be infringing and reasonably sufficient information to permit us to locate the material (i.e., exact SoundCloud URLs: https://soundcloud.com/artist/track-name). Profile URLs can also be submitted to blacklist all tracks under an artist's catalog.
4. Complainant Contact Information: Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, including your full legal name, company or organization, physical mailing address, telephone number, and official email address.
5. Good Faith Statement: A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. Accuracy & Penalty of Perjury Statement: A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

7. Processing Turnaround Time

We review and act on all verified notices within 24 to 48 business hours of receipt. Once confirmed, the requested SoundCloud URLs or creator channels will be blacklisted on our routing proxies, preventing users worldwide from processing them.

8. Counter-Notification Procedure

If you believe that a track was blocked or blacklisted on our service as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written Counter-Notification to our Designated Agent pursuant to 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3). The counter-notice must include:

• Your physical or electronic signature.
• Identification of the material that was blocked and the location where it appeared prior to the block.
• A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was blocked as a result of mistake or misidentification.
• Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your judicial district.

9. Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, SC Downloader adheres to a strict policy of terminating access for repeated or systemic abusers of our proxy platform who attempt to distribute unauthorized content or bypass digital rights safeguards.
