1. Privacy Commitment

At SC Downloader, user privacy is our highest priority. Our tool is designed as a serverless, privacy-first utility. We do not require registration, email addresses, names, or accounts to convert SoundCloud links to MP3, and we aim to minimize data collection to the absolute technical minimum required to operate the service.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We strictly adhere to data minimization principles. We do not collect or record:

• Your identity, email, or login credentials.
• A search history or history of URLs pasted into our converter.
• The actual audio files downloaded (no files are stored on our servers; every byte is transcoded and streamed on-the-fly and immediately discarded).

3. Log Data & Technical Information

Like most websites, our web servers and proxy edge nodes (powered by Cloudflare) automatically collect standard technical logs generated by your web browser when accessing our site. This log data may include:

• Your Internet Protocol (IP) address.
• Your browser type, operating system, and hardware configuration.
• The referring page and specific timestamps of your visits.

This technical log data is used solely for traffic analytics, security monitoring, prevention of DDoS attacks, and optimizing server performance. It is automatically deleted or anonymized according to standard server cycles.

4. SoundCloud CDN Interoperability

When you initiate a download request on our platform, our service acts as a proxy client to retrieve audio segments directly from public SoundCloud Content Delivery Network (CDN) servers. Since the audio stream is retrieved directly from their CDN, SoundCloud may log your IP address, user-agent details, and request headers in the same manner as if you were streaming the song directly on their official platform. This data is subject to SoundCloud's independent Privacy Policy.

5. Cookies & Caching

We use very minimal, non-tracking cookies or browser local storage configurations to support core site functionalities, such as remembering your preferred download format (e.g., 320kbps vs 128kbps) or caching API responses to make subsequent searches faster. We do not use advertising tracking cookies or behavioral tracking tools to profile users.

6. Third-Party Analytics & Assets

We may utilize standard third-party assets to enhance site performance, such as Google Fonts to load typography or Cloudflare's security nodes. These external networks may compile generic request parameters when loading assets. They do not have access to any personally identifying user data since we do not capture it.

7. GDPR & CCPA Compliance Statement

Since we do not compile, store, or sell any personal data, we automatically conform to the core principles of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). There is no user profiling or data base records to edit, delete, or retrieve because your visit is completely ephemeral.
